8:00am–11:00am Anchorage to Soldotna
Enjoy a beautiful ride with many photo opportunities down the Turnagain Arm in south Anchorage through Girdwood and stopping at Cooper Landing for snacks and a potty break. The Cooper Landing bridge is where Kenai Lake turns into the Kenai River. From here it’s just an hour to Soldotna.
11:00am-3:00pm Soldotna to Kenai
Soldotna and Kenai are near each other and is one of the most historically sought after sport fishing locations in the world! Here we will visit the Soldotna Visitor Center and the Soldotna Homestead Museum as well as the Kenai Visitor Center. We intentionally schedule this tour on Wednesdays to experience the food and music at the Soldotna Creek Park during summer months. City of Kenai is where the Kenai River ends into the Cook Inlet and the magical freshwater journey of many salmon species begins!
3:00pm-6:00pm Kenai to Anchorage
Buckle up and experience the picturesque drive north back to Anchorage. On the way back we will take turns sharing with others what we found and what we would see or do again or not. We will stop at the Sterling Highway “Y” for more pictures and then back to our original departure location.
