8:00am–10:00am  Anchorage to Willow

Depart 4902 Spenard Road across from Ted Stevens Airport at 8:00am after safety briefing.Enjoy a beautiful ride north of Anchorage through the Mat-Su valley to Willow with a couple stops for pictures. One of the stops will be a short tour through Nancy Lake State Recreation Area for some quaint sites and wonderful scenery and hopefully some local wildlife.

10:00am-3:30pm  Willow to Denali State Park 

Back on the road north from Willow and then up through Trapper Creek to the south side of Denali State Park. We will travel north of the Trappers Creek Veterans Memorial in search of wildlife all the while having multiple locations up highway 3 for views and photos of Mount McKinley. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch and then drive south for a town loop tour of Talkeetna Alaska where you can experience some local sights, sounds and tastes for a couple hours..

3:30pm-6:00pm Denali State Park to Anchorage

We will meet at the Talkeetna Historical Society at 3:30 and board the vehicle for departure back to Anchorage. On the way back we will take turns sharing with others what we found and what we would see or do again or not as we enjoy the ride back to Anchorage.
